Cycled here with friends. Beautiful views! Bring headlights for the way back though as most bikes are not equipped with lights!

Quite overwhelming sense of isolation despite the presence of other tourists. The views are superb and I thought that the photo opportunities were endless although as a very poor photographer I failed to realise their potential. Beauty does exist in deserts!

We had a wonderful experience with Javier. He was very knowledgeable and explained many details to us. We really enjoyed the caves too. Great trip. Lots of hiking. I highly recommend it.

this is a fantastic park, we did the salt caves which was so much fun, it is quite a lot of climbing/crawling at points! so have to be fit but worth it, we also did a walk along the top to a narrow peak which took about 45 minutes walking again need to be fit but well worth it, stunning... More

Definitely beautiful, but drive yourself and avoid the tour times (end of day), way to many people at that time. Roads are all paved, really easy to do in 2WD.

This is a very unique place to visit. Only a half day tour, and get to see the sunset as well. We booked with Whipala who I highly recommend, a very good company. This was probably the closest thing I will ever get to walking on the moon lol. It felt very surreal walking around, and there are great views... More

Very beautiful place to visit, a lot of mountains shots with salt covering, place to go. It is a bit steep in some places, not for all levels, a little on the advanced side.

We visited at sun rise - only because we have a 5 year old and to visit at sun set would have been too late. It was stunning but i can imagine sun set would have been even more beautiful. It was sheer isolation. The silence was deafening. The salt coated surfaces looked like snow it was a truly unique... More

This place is absolutely wonderful, located a few km away from San Pedro de Atacama, you can get there by bike, by car or in a tour. It is specially designed to visit during the sunset. the landscape that you can see is surprising. The value per person is 2000 CLP (3,5 dollars)
