This is a basic church that is not particularly unique. However the history of adds a lot more colour to its importance to the town's development. Recommended with an experienced guide or tour. Otherwise worth a visit only if in the area.

Sadly, the last time we saw this church it had been newly adobe'd and was no longer the lovely white we remembered. Inside, the roof is made of cactus wood.

We visited the church, it's well maintained; it's from 1957 and you can see original parts of it. The ceiling of the church is made of a cactus that grows in the altitude, today there are a few ones, way back in time, they didn't...More

Located in the main plaza, if you are in SanPedro you should visit the church. Towards the alter, there is a glass panel in the floor displaying the old floor.

We visited this church and enjoyed the architecture of the building and of course the history about the building😀the location in town makes it easy to visit and enjoy. The town square had a festival occurring with music and local bands

Felt so peaceful visiting this old church with so much history. The building itself is not big but the presence and celestial feeling inside the church is surreal. I was born in a Hindu home but raised to respect all faiths so I often visit...More

This church has been through so much! It's open most of the day and inside there is lots of information about its history. I also did a free walking tour with Tours 4 Tips and they explained more about the building and the symbolism of...More

This is a lovely example of a church that stands just as it must have done all those years ago before the town was swallowed by tourists. No one bothers you if you just want to stop by, look around or sit for a while.

This building showcases traditional materials and building techniques. It's not grand or ornate but it has charm. Check out the anti-abortion poster in one of the side chapels to appreciate the slick messaging of the Catholic church. There is a bell tower in the plaza...More

San Pedro is a dusty, old world place and this quaint little church matches and complements its environment perfectly. It's nothing stunning in architectural terms, but is an excellent example of a church typical to this area. Inside, it's under-stated, not much in the way...More

Hi, sorry I don't know but they do have a Facebook page Church-of-San-Pedro-de-Atacama which should be easy enough to find. I hope that is of some help.
