In my opinion its not a must see. You can have a few good hours there, but we went there with an own car and didnt have to pay an tour operator and if you are expecting stunning different colours in the mountains its not like this :). So I wouldnt pay for an tour to this Valley. But still... More

Easy walking around in the valley to more closely examine the colorful minerals. Photographs galore. Get a guide knowledgeable in Chilean geology to fully enjoy it. And hope to see the lamas from the farm in the salt river valley as you enter the Valley.

I really didn't get a chance to see this valley to its fullest potential that it is at dusk, when the rays of the sun reflect the colors on the rocks whereby the valley receives its name Valle Arcoiris (Rainbow Valley). But I actually had another experience that was equally or more amazing that was staying overnight in a camper... More

This place is just incredibly amazing! The colors are unbelievable, especially before the sunset. We rented a car (a pick up) to go there, among many other things we could squeeze in one day and it was a really good decision. When you have to turn from the main road is not clear, but you can ask at the archaeological... More

The name translate as the Rainbow Valley, and it's very clear why that is the case. The colours in the mountains are amazing. All from different mineral deposits from magma millions of years ago.

We had an overcast day which meant that the colors of the rocks weren't at their best. It is an interesting place with the different formations and structures. But for us, we took some photos, walked around and only needed to spend half an hour to check everything out. The drive out is quite beautiful, seeing llamas along the way.... More

We visit it in 2 parts: a small trekking by ourselves after the visit of Punkara and a private trekking on the Cornices with a guide. The nature is wonderful, it is difficult to explain, you have to see! What was surprising that in the 2 cases we were alone, which is quite rare in the San Pedro surroundings and... More

For me, not worth the trip out. Our guide could also not speak English, but initially I wasn't bothered, just wanted to see the attraction. But I'd put it low on the priority list...
