one of the famous and must see tourist destination in Quanzhou. The East and West Pagodas is the tallest twin pagodas in China. Skillfully built by our ancestors. its amazing!

If I'm not mistaken, this is one of the towers within the Kaiyuan Temple complex. It is quite old and one reason why buildings around this district are not allowed to be built high. This is a landmark in the skyline of the old city....More

An old tower in town but interesting to look at and has some nice ornamentation. Not sure if it is closed all the time or just when I was there but it is quite old so it may be all the time.

the interesting historic figures on outside of each level of the tower are quite amazing. The faces and guestures are not pocker faces at all. Unfortunately couldn't go inside because those are too old.
