This temple is extant since the Tang dynasty, over 1000 years. It is in proximity to memorial arches street (Paifang jie), ancient city wall and guangji bridge which crosses Han river.

Kaiyuan temple is one of the main temples to visit in Chaozhou. It’s a nice temple with lots of locals coming here to pray. A large statue of Goddess of Mercy is at the entrance and facing the temple building. Good for a short visit.

This temple is one of the city attractions in Chaozhou. During the day, there are many tourists roaming this temple. The place is not too far from other tourist attractions. It also good for those interested in Chinese ancient buildings.

Pretty cool Buddhist temple with very nice architecture. Not much to do if you're a non believer so walking around would take you 10~15 min.
