Although it is a hard hike to actually get up the hill, the view from the top truly is worth it. You can see for miles around and the rock face is brilliant to see up close and if you go as a tour, ask...More

We cycled to Moon Hill from our hotel on the Li River (Yangshuo Mountain Resort - a gorgeous place!). There were a number of locals there offering us lunch or a cheaper view of Moon Hill, but if you want to hike up to the...More

Moon hill can be seen from many vantage points. Don't pay to go in to see it. Many people trying to sell you things and not much of a better view.

On our bike ride this was one of the places we past. Much like the elephant trunk hill in Guilin its a special rock formation. The view however is better. If you have a clear day and at the right time of day the light...More

We rented electric scooters for 40 yuan and rode out to Moon Hill. There are 800 steps made of stone on the trail to the arch through a bamboo forest. Views are great. There was an intermittent light rain and the steps were very slippery...More

I walked all the way from yangshuo town to moonhill (18 kms return trip), was a nice way of seeing the area. Didn't go for all the high priced touristic stops on the way, only walked up moon hill. Easy walk, but sometimes slippery. Views...More

It used to be a nice place back in the ages. Unfortunately now buses arrive there flooding their hundred of passengers, driving very dangerously, honking loudly, etc. What was once a nice place is now a place to avoid.

Nice little hike, great views. Rock climbing no longer allowed. There is a small fee to entry the moon hill area, all hiking is on a well developed path.

We had a guided bike trip for the day through very nice pads. One of my best day during this trip in China. We stopped at the Moon Hill for lunch break. The hike to the top take approximately 20-25 minutes and the views from...More

We did the bike ride along the banks of the nearby river and ended up at the cafe at the foot of Moon Hill. The bike ride was comfortable with not many hills to climb and I found it relatively easy and I am a 71 year old... More

I never saw a glass water bottle my entire trip, there are sealed plastic water bottles everywhere in china. I was in the country for 2 weeks and had the local water in teas and coffees and it is safe. I wouldn't drink river... More
