Worth the price of admission.

Birmingham Museum of Art. I’d been there before. The museum is free and their collection of paintings isn’t bad, but there were few stand-outs. Worth a visit.

Ok, I'm giving this a 4, not because it ranks up there with New York or Boston or Chicago but because for a medium sized city in the south, this is a pretty good museum. I traveled a lot in my career and whenever I had time I would visit the local art museum and more often than not disappointed.... More

I had forgotten just how good the B'Ham Museum of Art really was, it's been awhile since we have visited. This is a top-notch offering.

Can't beat the price. Spent about 2 hours there and saw everything. The Asian art exhibit was enjoyable. Many beautiful artifacts. Not much artwork from highly known artist.

Couldn't visit the entire museum but what I could was fine. Best of all was the restaurant in the second floor! They have a souvenir shop, also a good one

I've been to a lot of art museums and this one would rank in my top 10. I really enjoyed the Wedgewood collection as well as the African pottery. Great HIndu stuff too. All-in-all I thought this was a great collection. When I arrived and they said it was free I thought..."is this going to be a big waste of... More

We went just for the Wedgwood exhibit which was largest of its kind. Great museum for art and pottery. Unexpectedly it was free.

We spent about two hours here touring the museum. We were staying at a hotel within walking distance. Everyone was very friendly!

Tucked away downtown, driving in, the back of the building seems rather obscure. There is dedicated parking but you need to get your ticket validated to avoid a fine. When we visted, there was not a huge selection of contemporary art. However the Asian, wedgewood, and other historical collections were quite impressive. There's probably too much here to keep young... More

We visited today. This is the first time I have been to the museum and I have lived in Birmingham all my life. The collections are quite good, and the building is much larger than I would have known. First floor includes a large dining area and museum shop, along with two children's museums and play areas that are hands-on.... More
