Showing a broad sample of paintings from Europe & US over last 300 years. Decorative arts from US. The best thing is the giant doll house.

Was there for the 50th anniversary celebration of the A. G. Gaston Boys and Girls club. Hadn't visited this place since I was a teenager. It's still a beautiful place and is kept in great condition. It's a must see when you visit Bham.

Had a good time cruising through Birmingham's art museum. It was small. Smaller than I expected and saw everything in less time than planned for but it was clean and quaint.

We were lucky enough to catch both a contemporary art survey show- with some excellent self taught art- and a show on 16th century Dutch painting Both of these were ,informative and well signed with much useful info on many of the works

An often overlooked art museum that boasts an eclectic collection full of pleasant surprises for the museum visitor. Easily accessible to interstates in the heart of downtown.

This museum is essentially free (donations of $3 are suggested) and more than worthwhile. The biggest surprise is the diversity of its collection; not only does it offer a sampling of American and European art, but it also contains a large collection of Asian art...More
