As residents of Birmingham, we visit the museum several times per year, particularly when there is a special exhibit on. The breadth and depth of its permanent collections are quite surprising as well. And, it's one of the few museums of this caliber anywhere that make no admission charge except for special exhibits. The museum's cafe is quite a good... More

I love to visit the museum and see what it has to offer. Some of the art changes depending on what is being shown. One of my favorite times was when the Titanic exhibit was there. I have often dined for lunch and shopped in the store to find great little treasures.

It could be just because they've studied so much history in our homeschooling, or maybe because it was their first city art museum, but my kids loved every minute of the birmingham museum of art. I loved the east Asian section, and the 14-15 century Italian, myself. But there was so much more! The children's areas are so fun and... More

Free, it's free! I always visit an art museum, especially when it's free. Some old stuff, some contemporary stuff, sculptures, prints, photos and paintings. There's a lot to see. Three floors and only takes an hour or so. Yes yes yes

We have gone here for years. My graduation from college was held at the art museum. Interesting date night. They always have feature exhibits. If you have a family, check out their website. They have free family Saturdays close to major holidays. I have always taken my kids. Halloween, Christmas or when they have a new exhibit. We want for... More

This is a very nice museum for a city the size of Birmingham. it is very large with a good variety of work. Wedgwood Jasperware is not particularly my interest, but their collection is spectacular.

If you are like me and love looking at pictures whilst enjoying a lovely bit of brunch then you are in for a treat . I like to call it "brunching whilst enjoying the scenery " ... Great toilet faculties also for those who need them
