Decided to take a weekend away to explore the Birmingham area. Specifically came to check out the zoo. Awesome nice sized zoo. Loved how clean and well maintained the zoo grounds were. The animals are so well taken care of. You can most definitely tell...More

Though it's clear this Zoo is old, the grounds are extremely well cared for and the animals appeared to be as well. The pirates on the train ride were extreme nightmare fuel, moreso for the adults than the kids. And I mean that in a...More

This is a wonderful place to enjoy if you don't go at the end of the school year, there is so many school kids and family there's not enough room to move and the wait in lines is awful. The Zoo was way over crowed.

I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I was so happy to see so many changes being made to the habitats. I think that when all of the construction is complete, Birmingham will have an excellent zoo.

What the Bham zoo lacks in acreage, they make up for in hospitality and well-thought-out exhibits. It's a small zoo, but that means you can get through the whole thing in a single visit. And yes, there are some older facilities, but the zoo is...More

I go to the Zoo frequently and they are always adding new exhibits and continue to hold the highest standards for the animals. Buy a Membership and go as much as you want.

My daughter bought a family pass to the zoo and invited me to go along with her 2 children. My 3yr old granddaughter had been a handful of times before so nothing really WOWed her this visit. We enjoyed the train-ride but the 'pirates' along...More
