The 2016 season is upon us and this year we are adding a broad collection of daytime historic tours! Churches, the historic city center, a civil rights tour, theaters both here and past, an architecture tour...and of course, in the evenings the ever popular Birmingham Ghost Walk! The historic tours are themed by month and the Ghost Walk will continue to be a broad look at all the dark and hidden history of downtown.

I had a good time learning about the local history while visiting the city. While our didn't see any ghosts, we still got an interesting tour of a small part of the city. It would have been nice to be able to go into some...More

The tour is a great way to get acclimated to the city. We went our first night in town and it got us oriented in downtown as well as getting us familiar with the history of the area. It's a cool little tour of local...More

Wolfgang was SOO informative about the past history of ole buildings and churches, with some stores, graves, gargoyles and ghost stories peppered in! My second ghost tour and I would recommend to anyone!

Very entertaining and interesting! The one recommendation I would make is to give a bit more of a description on the website for each tour. Would happily do a different tour with Wolfgang again!

You can if you wish, although most of the tour is farely well lit by streetlamps.

How long (or far) is the walk? I'm concerned about my stamina. I've had two hip surgeries recently and hate the thought of "running out of steam" and being left alone in downtown B'ham because I couldn't finish the walk. THAT would be scarier than any ghosts we might encounter! Ha!

The tour guide, Wolfgang uses a cane to walk. The tour is a very comfortable pace with lots of stops and Wolfgang would not leave anyone....he's awesome! Tell him I said hello!
