We visited the village as part of our visit to the nine villages valley and expected it to be a typical tibetan village such as Shangrila. But instead the village consisted mainly of tourist shops with very little typical tibetan culture on show. One of...More

This village is just across the road as we reached back up from Shuzheng Fall. This has to be the village easiest to reached right by the roadside. Shops selling souvenirs available and there is also a temple in the village.

I found this place to be too much modernized and commercialized that I hardly felt an atmosphere of a genuine Tibetan settlement. There are a lot of shops selling dried yaks meat, combs from yaks horn, and other souvenirs from the region. There is a...More

Two waterfalls up and down the village, about 500m walk each, village with good choice of food and souvenirs. Lots of people take this last stop around 5pm, just before heading to exit at sundown. During my 2-day visit, found myself stopping at this village...More

It's possible to sleep there (even though not officially allowed), there are rooms available for 100-150 RMB/person. You can have your meals with the Tibetan ppl living there, it's a very nice memory, and the environment is so magical!
