The centre of Osijek is colourful. It has a curious statue of a former leader. Trams add character to it. And when an event is on such as the world cup - it is the place to be.

This square, which is really not a square, is at the heart of modern, commercial Osijek, Lined with stores, restaurants and cafes, it has a modern fountain in the center, as well as statues and sculptures of local celebrities.

The square has a triangular look for its three entrances. Originated at the end of the 17th century. The only main square in Croatia that has underfloor heating in winter days. For years I've been through it in winter time. Has its specialty and beauty....More
