This area falls off the radar for a lot of visitors to Slovenia, but it shouldn't. The Park is a national treasure for Slovenia. The Park consist of a series of lakes that are interconnected by multiple waterfalls. The waterfalls are fed from winter snows that are melting in the nearby Julian Alps. We visited in mid-May and the waters... More

Absolutely loved it here. The trails aren't very clear. There are so many routes it can get confusing but still gorgeous. Hiked all the way to the top waterfalls and took a bus back down to parking lot 1

I have visited Plitvice National Park for the second time in this year (ticket price 110 kuna per person in March). And it was great as usual! I entered the Park at the entrance nr.2 and walked to the lower canyon lakes (Milanovac, Gavanovac, Kaluđerovac and Novakovića Brod). Over there I enjoyed the sites of the highest waterfall in Croatia... More

Beautiful waterfalls! We've seen some of the best: Niagara, Yosemite, and Iguazu. While this one is not a single magnificent falls, the combination of all of them in the surroundings is spectacular. The water is so amazingly clear! Well worth a side trip from Split, Zadar, or Zagreb.

TA has this rated as #1 attraction in Plitvice. Personally, I would rate this as #1 in Croatia, possibly #1 in Europe. This unspoiled gem is a marvel to behold. A series of lakes flowing into each other in a series of spectacular waterfalls of jaw-dropping beauty. If the waterfalls and scenery were not spectacular enough, there is the crystal... More

Visiting the Lakes is a must for the beautiful lakes and waterfalls. We booked through Splitlicious Tours and were promised a tour escort and 5 hours of free time. The trip from Split was 3 hours and our "guide" did not utter a word of information. When we arrived we were bustled to the entrance and told to meet at... More

We booked a day trip to the lakes from our hotel in Medulin. It was an early start and a long coach ride but this was made enjoyable by our guide who pointed out everything of interest and explained all about the war and showed us an outside memorial museum of military vehicles which was intended to depict the war... Would highly recommend the H plan where it takes 4-6 hrs to view via bus then walking then ferry and then walking to the final large falls.
