We visited this island in April, so the weather was still not for swimming so we rented bikes (cca 3-3.50EUR/hour) and biked around the island it. You have the option to use the tourist small train (included in the entrance fee) that takes you kind of around the island, but would recommend to do it your way on foot or... More

This island is so beautiful. From Roman ruins to the game park, you walk along beautiful gardens with deer along side you and the turquoise sea. This is a must see if in Istria in Croatia. Loved the ship ride to the island too. So majestic!

.... you have to visit the Brijuni islands. The zoo is not the biggest one, don't go there for the hotels or the restaurants. Go there because of the beautiful nature, the forests, peacocks and the quiet. A great day away from the normal beach crowd.

We never got off the boat to explore the islands, but we did take the mini sail tour around the islands, well worth it, great experience and great prices

We found a private boat from Fazana who took us on a panorama tour around the park and then we spent the afternoon swimming on one of the small islands. That island is a little bit secluded, with nothing to do or see but great for relaxing on the beach for a few hours.

We visited Brijuni island and caught the official ferry over there from Fazana. We didn't want a guide but still had to pay the same as people who did elect to have a guide (20 kuna pp). Very unfair and annoying! We walked through a forested area to the Byzantine Castrum (seen in the pictures). This ancient site was in... More

Been there already a few time! But last time we spend 3 nights there!!! and that is just the right time for this island! you can make long walks, or rent a bike, or a little car! it is so much fun, our children enjoyed every minute! you have a safari park, it is amazing! We are definitely coming back!

Perfect one-day trip to former Tito's (former dictator of Yugoslavia) residence island. Tito was a man of great taste, it seems, spending about half of the year here and visited by contemporary elite from Sophia Loren to Kadaffi. Excellent for one day trip - get a bicycle locally (no bicycles or cars allowed from outside) and enjoy pine forest full... More
