The Benedictine church and monastery of St. Nicholas is very old and it's full of history. It's run by kind nuns. This place has played an important role not only spiritual but also a cultural one, since it has preserved numerous works of art and books, especially the famous Kairos collection. A treasure indeed. This place is very easy to... More

This charming convent, with an admission fee, contains a small museum for which there is a free guide in the form of a three-fold pamphlet. The treasure is a relief depicting the personification of Opportunity, Kairos in Greek, described in an ancient Greek poem. This is the only known copy anywhere in the world of this work of art, the... More

Very well worth a visit to this monastery in the old town center of Trogir. While walking around in the narrow lanes, pop in to the quiet monastery.

Hidden treasure of artifacts from antiquity to the 18th century. The restoration of the paintings is remarkable. The collection of religious articles inspired the viewer to reflect and say a prayer. There is a lovely courtyard.

Nice little museum with some worthwhile artefacts, especially the Kairos - if you are into ancient antiques. A bit pricey at kn 30 but I guess the nuns need it to support the old building.

Trogir is city of happy moment and I hope I catch my happy moment there. They say you have to be quick and do not think so much. I bought one good replica of Kairos in Art Gallery Marcella *only stone made Kairos replica in Trogir. I will bring it home and put on the special place.

There is so much to see in Trogir that it is easy to overlook some of the less well known sights. All I can say is that the convent's collection is breathtaking, preserved in a beautiful air conditioned building and well worth 30 Kuna. Go see. As an added bonus the nun on the door was charming and very kind... More
