This park has two parts: a recreation of the environment that existed before the city of Guayaquil. It is a mangrove forest with several different ecological zones. There are displays of indigenous birds, mammals and reptiles in very nearly their natural habitat. It's a great...More

Parque Histórico is worth the taxi ride to get there ($8 from mid-town). Be sure to eat at Casa Julien, arguably one of the best restaurants in town. We had a wonderful, although not inexpensive, dinner there. The native wildlife display is excellent as are...More

Well worth a visit to view its art works and gold leaf wooden Alter. Worth getting a local guide (resident in the Church)to learn about the history and culture surrounding the construction of the Church.

I enjoyed walking through the park. The church here is beautiful and you must come to experience their Sunday services. Everyone uses the park on Sunday. It was fun!

Intresting park where you can see some of the local fauna. The park is open and wooden walkways will take you into mangrovias where the animals are located.

We enjoyed this well kept zoo and biological park with lots of quiet places to sit, historical buildings to roam around and many locals for people watching (and chatting.)

This park is advertised as showing animals and birds in their natural environment. It does have some sort of mangrove areas and natural forestry. The animals were in tiny exposures, some pack/ herd animals were alone. One poor otter swam round and round with no...More
