Great for families

Lots of activities for families & kids in particular. Fun area & very busy even during the week. But still an enjoyable time for me & my companion soaking up the culture.

We walked along the Malecón on a Sunday morning before there were many visitors. There is plenty to see in this area including the clock tower, several statues, beautiful gardens, a few different areas for families/kids to play and La Perla - a large Ferris wheel that moves very slowly, taking around 12 minutes to make it around one time.... A great way to spend an afternoon strolling along the river and don't forget to stop at one of the appetizing restaurants or coffee shops along the way !

We had a wonderful walk along the full Malecon, so many coffee shops, statues and other places of interest. It was a very hot day and the air conditioned coffe shops were a welcomed relief. The city planned well for all ages, there are small parks for children, ferries wheel, boat rides for all, restaurants, monuments....something for everyone. You can spend... More

Nice pedestrian street, clean, lots of restaurants, beautiful and well-kept green. Good to run. Not a clean river.

Tourist trap but nice places to eat and drink along the water. A little overpriced for what you get but decent.

We had a few hour layover in Guayaquil so we decided to check out the area. We'd been told there wasn't much to see or do here but we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. There were several restaurants to choose from. Even a cafeteria/mall style with less expensive options. It was a great place to walk and stretch our... More

The river itself is pretty dirty but if you go at night you can't really tell. The boardwalk is very well lit and safe and has lots of things to see. Nothing amazing but a nice place to mozy along with friends.

Wow, this IS a great place to spend a few hours in Guayaquil wither alone or with good company! it's so extense that it covers a few kilometers, but worry not: you'll find all kinds of restaurants and bars to enjoy some local food or drink, benches to sit and chill while you charge your phone, and numerous areas for... Nice walk, lots of security guards so you never feel unsafe. Great views of the Guayas river and close to other touristic spots. People were walking there with their dogs, kids etc. Seems like a lot of locals go there, we also saw a few fisherman!
