We had a day trip by boat, which alone was worthwhile. The monestry was beautiful though small. It was impressive, but time wise you will get through in less then half an hour.

went there from Ohrid, the location is very nice and the Monastery is quite big. You need a good hr or 2 to see it well. One must respect the culture and cover up when going in

I raise my hands in praise for the beautiful beach St. Naum has provided at the end a dirt pitted roads strewn with garbage. It's a beautiful location to swim in Lake Ohrid and enjoy the outdoors. Holy cow....or should I say Holy Peacocks, Batman!...More

When reading the previous reviews I wished we'd taken the boat cruise from Ohrid harbour to St Naum, but never mind! The actual complex is lovely: there's a few trails to walk around with small chapels dotted around, there's small beaches and there were quite...More

Depart from Ohrid harbour on one of the tour boats (only euro 20 per person) and enjoy a leasurly trip down the lake to the monastery. Trip takes about 1 1/2 hours each way so is good value. The monastery grounds are extensive and peaceful...More

A 90 minute cruise from Ohrid to the Monastery offers lots of beautiful scenery of the shores of Lake Ohrid. The destination is at the far end of the lake near the Albanian border. The Monastery is stunning. Peacocks roam freely among well tended gardens,...More

It is okay but nothing spectacular like lake ohrid. The "springs" ate cool but you can only see tiny bubbles forming at the bottom of the pond. The minestary isn't spectacular but the peacocks are. Please do NOT RUN AFTER OR TOUCH THE PEACOCKS many...More

The springs are crystal clear. And you can see them feeding right into the lake. It's a great place to swim.

The boat trip from Ohrid to the Monastery is actually a lot nicer than the complex itself. Huge garden, interesting church, especially the mysterious inside. Lots of male peacocks, even an albino peacock. The restaurant offers the best views over the lake.

We don't know but we know a man who would, he is a tour guide and Prof of Tourism in Ohrid if you want we can contact him and ask him to contact you. If any body could arrange it we are sure he could. Good Luck anyway.
