We were there at a time not many people were around so it felt like we had the place al to our self. The ride to the place is worth it! I loved the view and the water is nice and cool.

Excellent blue pools in a relaxing setting. Enjoyed swimming in the 75 F waters, not cold, not hot. Feels like you are in heaven. Underneath the pools is a raging river. Such a contrast.

There are two types of travelers in Guatemala those who've been to Semuc Champey and those who haven't. It is a difficult journey but the reward is breathtaking and worth every bumpy minute!

Don't even think. Just go to Semuc Champey. Probably the most underrated and unnoticed attractions of Guatemala. Paradise on earth would be an understatement. So much adventure, we went on a tour with vista verde hostel which was great! The candle lit cave tour and the walk to the top of the hill were great. The tubing could have been longer but maybe other groups did a longer tour...More

If you are a very experienced driver (with a good insurance policy), I suppose you could drive on Guatemala's main roads during the day time. Traffic however can be heavy and... unpredictable (our car was once forced into a... More
