You pay $10 usd per person to basically walk up the mountain and check out the view. Honestly the view is great. It made the hike up worth it. It wasn’t the easiest hike, I think a lot of the rain they have been having...More

2 plus mile trail up to the " mountain " top for great views of Anthony's Key. Trail is lovely, well maintained. Touring of plants and trees well done and well marked.

We went here on a whim because we wanted to do some hiking and this was the closest place. It did pour on an off the day we went, but the trails weren’t too bad (we just put on rain coats). The scenery was pretty...More

It you like botanical gardens, check it out. It is not full of flashy flower beds but it is interesting to see the variety of plants and trees native to the part of the world.

Very small--walked around in about 15-20 minutes on a self guided tour. $10 Admission, $20 if you want a guide. We didn't walk the mountain trail--very steep and slippery.

We had a great visit to Carambola botanical gardens. It is located across the street from Anthony Key resort. Dozens of special trees -- cannoball tree, mahogany, palm trees, coffee, cocoa, carambola (star fruit). It takes 60-90 mins to visit the gardens but you could...More

We love to visit botanical gardens. While Carambola Botanical Gardens was pretty, the visit wasn't worth the time or the admission fee ($10 per person, I believe). The "map" was useless and very few of the plants were identified.

We walked up on a Sunday from our hotel not sure if it would be open. Mr Brady, the owner and a very passionate environmentalist, welcomed us to come on in, providing education on the birds, foliage, and insects in the gardens. With a map...More

A nice collection of the many different plants, trees, and wildlife that can be found on the island. If you're looking to break a sweat on a scenic hike, then I recommend the Carambola Botanical Gardens & Trails.

You probably have the answer you need - however, your aunt COULD visit the gardens if she was content to stay in the lower part near the entrance building. There are places to sit and the trails are pretty easy to navigate... More

Depending on how many times you stop to read about the plants, anywhere from an hour to two. If it sprinkles like it did when we were there, maybe a bit longer.

It is not a paved trail. You could still enjoy the first part of the garden including sitting to watch the hummingbirds. I would still go!
