Very nice way to spend a couple of hours walking in nature and seeing the local plants . Not an easy walk for someone with mobility issues but lovely way to have a break from the shore . Cute little gift shop and snack bar on site too.

This is a shore excursion we did during a Royal Caribbean stop. A nice air conditioned bus with an informative guide and friendly driver picked us up at the port (short walk) and drove us to Carambola. During the drive we were given informative facts about Roatan and Honduras and enjoyed the scenery. Upon arrival at Carambola, we were led... More

This was a Quick Hike (40 min or so) with a great view of Sandy Bay. Not sure it was worth the $10 admission fee.

The gardens were very well kept, properly and informatively marked and equipped with several spots to stop throughout the gardens to relax and absorb the sourounding nature of the jungle. A map was provided when entering the gardens with descriptions of certain pinpoints and extra information was given by the gate keeper on the location of certain tropical plants. The... More

Just a lovely and simple way to get outside and enjoy the flora and fauna of Roatan. And maybe meet a parrot or a sweet kitty cat!

While we were disappointed that the orchids were not in bloom we very much enjoyed walking the trails and learning about the various trees and plants. The walk up the hill probably wouldn't be for everyone but the view at the top was worth it.

We just visited Roatan for 2 weeks. We visited Carambola Gardens on a sunny but windy day which precluded snorkeling on the reef that day. We visited in the morning and spent about 2 quiet hours. First we hiked up to the top of the mountain which only takes about 1/2 hour for a fantastic view overlooking the reef and... More

Situated across the road from Anthony’s Key Resort, the Carambola Gardens is a small (about the size of a football field) collection of partially-labeled native and non-native plants in an area crisscrossed with walkways and sprinkled with resting huts and benches. Its target audience is the cruise-ship tourist – who gets a guided tour (if you show up independently, you... More

Beautiful nature, not to hard for people with trouble with walking. There's a wide variety of plants, trees, flowers, butterflys and hummingbirds. Your guide will tell you everything about it and ont he end he/she will give you some fruit right out of the garden, it's the best fruit you ever tasted!
