Just a beautiful, peaceful place. The caves are amazing. The place is 6km south west from Vijayawada. It is a beautiful monolithic example of Indian rock cut architecture. Beautiful views of farm land from the 4th floor. Huge statue of Vishnu in a reclining position inside second floor. Ticket is 5INR and the timings are 9Am-6PM. Well worth the visit.

Make sure you go all the way to the interior to see the large sculpture of Mahavishnu reclining. It´s become a more romantic and touristy spot over time, moving away from its more spiritual and monastic uses. Still beautiful and well worth the visit. Scenic views. Fresh, beautiful green all over the place.

This is an amazing place. A must visit that's a bit off the beaten track. The views from here are amazing, and very peaceful in the evening. It takes about 30 - 45 minutes to thoroughly explore the main cave, the others may take 15 minutes. The details, the carvings, and the maintenance is beautiful.

One of the top attractions in Vijayawada, certainly worth a visit Bus No 301 going to Amaravathi can be used to reach Undavalli caves. It is about 9 kms from city centre. Do not miss to check out the reclining vishnu statue. Worth spending half an hour. Rs 15 entry ticket applicable, toilets available in the campus, 4 story full... More

These oldest Buddhist caves are worth for a visit. Best place for children picnic. A rock cut idol of Sri Mahavishnu in the posture of Anantha sayanam is the highlight of this place . This four storied 6th century Cave temple is in a natural setting, and need much facilities to attract visitors.
