This is a four storied caves curved out of rock with lower floor relatively unfinished and having Lord Vishnu sculpture on the upper story. A clean and maintained attraction. The top offers a great view of the surroundings

This is an unfinished temple . We have an idol of Vishnu in the 2nd floor which is worth seeing. You can spend an hour or two. This is one of the places I would recommend if you want to see historic places.

If you are a history buff, you definitely don't want to miss this place. The architecture is a great work of art. Its a good place to visit for families or couples. The place itself needs some well deserved attention and maintenance. However, you wont regret visiting it.

If you are visiting Vijayawada for any reason you should definitely consider a visit to Undavalli caves as it has a lot of history attached to it. If possible just visit after 4 pm so that you no need to spend a lot of time in sun and most importantly you can have a feel of the place just admiring... More

Just a beautiful, peaceful place. The caves are amazing. The place is 6km south west from Vijayawada. It is a beautiful monolithic example of Indian rock cut architecture. Beautiful views of farm land from the 4th floor. Huge statue of Vishnu in a reclining position inside second floor. Ticket is 5INR and the timings are 9Am-6PM. Well worth the visit.

Make sure you go all the way to the interior to see the large sculpture of Mahavishnu reclining. It´s become a more romantic and touristy spot over time, moving away from its more spiritual and monastic uses. Still beautiful and well worth the visit. Scenic views. Fresh, beautiful green all over the place.

This is an amazing place. A must visit that's a bit off the beaten track. The views from here are amazing, and very peaceful in the evening. It takes about 30 - 45 minutes to thoroughly explore the main cave, the others may take 15 minutes. The details, the carvings, and the maintenance is beautiful.

One of the top attractions in Vijayawada, certainly worth a visit Bus No 301 going to Amaravathi can be used to reach Undavalli caves. It is about 9 kms from city centre. Do not miss to check out the reclining vishnu statue. Worth spending half an hour. Rs 15 entry ticket applicable, toilets available in the campus, 4 story full... More
