Anamudi Peak is one of the main attraction in munnar. It is the highest peak in the Western Ghats and South India. The name Anamudi literally translates to "elephant's forehead," a reference to the resemblance of the mountain to an elephant's head. Must visit place in Munnar. 1. No need to take permission from forest department. 2. this is in inside eravikulam national park. 3. Just go to eravikulam, from inside you can climb towards the peak. 4. Not permitted to climb the peak till the end. 5. Highly recommended to book the entry tickets online well in advance (minimum 2 days).... More

Anamudi Peak is one of the many beautiful peaks at munnar. a nice place for some good HDR photo, you can the hills above the clouds

It is located in Eravikulam National Park, 7 km from Munnar city. It is the highest peak of South India. Once you reach the national park, you can walk to the anaimudi hills. Such a beautiful place in munnar. It is a highest peak in South India. It was surrounded by such a fantastic awesome tea garden. Nice place to visit.

This is the highest pick of south India. You can see and feel the natural beauty. While going from the kerla tourism bus you should carry cam to capture the beauty of munnar and tea plantation. It is almost 2km walking so go with family...

South India's highest Peak - 8841ft. 2695 mtrs is Anaimudi range. This is range can be viewed by travelling between Munnar to Erivakulam National Park after Nymakad Water falls which come around 3 -5 kms distnace. Good Heavenly Peak.
