Truly a splendorous monument to valor and courage amidst the remains of a mighty fortress. The tower itself is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Vijay stambah was built by Rana Kumbha to celebrate the victory over the combined army of Malwa and Gujrat.Its height is about 122 ft and it has 157 stairs to reach the top. The tower is dedicated to lord Vishnu.Beautiful piece of architecture.One must see...More

The structure is really pretty and detail of indian architecture is worth noting. it was stated by our guide that the pillar is made of stones fixed into one another, without use of any adhesive whatsoever.

Visiting this place will make you wonder of the old architecture, its concrete foundation, and about war history of Bahadur Shah and king of Mewar, in which context this monument was built.

In Chittaurgarh fort so many structures, temples and Buildings (Mahals) but Vijay stambha is very attractive and marvellous architectural structure. Chittor is relay a visit-able city in Rajasthan in winter season.

Proudly standing tall inside there are stairs we can climb up and go to the top. But it was really sad to see all the idols of Indian Gods were destroyed by moghuls ruthlessly.
