The lake is very well maintained. It was good looking. Good number boats are there. It was beautiful experience to have the boat ride in Kodai, enjoying the nature's beauty. Definitely good feel for people who are love nature.

A lovely lake, for a change we didn't do peddle boating and opted for rowing one. A must visit in your trip but please try and avoid rush hours as loud tourists will ruin the experience.

We had been to Kodaikanal Lake twice during our recent trip and thoroughly enjoyed the boating there. The lake is well-maintained and the environment is quite soothing for the mind.

Hi Shruthi, For visitors, the only option is to hire it with the boatman and you just sit & enjoy. I know rowing by self is another thrill but that wasnt an option. Hope that helps. -Pracheta
