If you’re visiting Ayutthaya be sure to take a late evening boat trip around the island. There are many on offer. Much better than I expected.

The chao Praya river makes the difference. Ayutthaya and Bangkok would be different without this river. Special atmosphere.

We hired a boat to travel around the Ayutthaya island and enjoyed the passing scenery. Many temples and interesting houses. Barges on the Chao Phraya were amazing.

It was hot so we opted for a river cruise instead of a bicycle. Good choice I think! We made the circle around the old Capital, saw three temples and had a great time!

My tour start from the hotel, bus up to Ayutthaya with a stop at a big garden with many excellent houses. Then cruise back to BKK in the afternoon down the river.
