Best way to beat Bangkok traffic. I took the local boat (orange flag) from Phra Artit Pier to Ratchwongse Pier where I alighted to visit Yaowarat (Chinatown). Quite an experience. Only 15 baht and we got to experience how locals move from one district to...More

Should visit when you're in Thailand. Have a cruise, or just cross the river. Look at the lifestyle of people living around that area.

We thought the boat trip was a good way to finish off the day. It stopped at 3 temples and we went through a khlong. It took a bit more than 2 hours and it was 200 bahts, entrance fee to temples is not included.

Go on a boat tour! Chao praya river is a river that flows to bangkok. Yes the water is not clean but alongside you will see beautiful architectures. I paid 220 for boat riding.

Think we overpaid but it was good value for money and the boat handler was very good, pointed things out and then stopped at two sets of ruins and a huge temple with a tall gold Buddha. Good way to spend a few hours

No cruise for us, but we found what seemed to be an authentic weekend market on this river, and only found Thai locals shopping there. However, we were told that the reason there was so much parking available is that buses full of tourists from...More

A must see. Went on a river cruise and then to the Gran Palace. Literally Thailand's 'nile'. This river is the main artery of Bangkok. I saw many types of dwellings, hotels and different types of river craft. Ruins can also be see and lots...More

My tour start from the hotel, bus up to Ayutthaya with a stop at a big garden with many excellent houses. Then cruise back to BKK in the afternoon down the river.
