We had heard good things about Long Beach; a good place to escape the crowds with beautiful beaches. While arguably we came right as the tourist season is coming to an end, the place felt deserted. Hardly anyone eating or drinking at the many beachside bars and restaurants. Anywhere else this would be fine, as you could swim and enjoy... More

This beach was night next to my hostel so I visited a few times. Honestly, it´s not the best beach on the island, for me that award goes to Kantiang Bay, but, it was a nice beach. It´s long and wide and so there is plenty of space to not feel over crowded and I would imagine that this remains... More

This was a gorgeous beach with soft sand, unbelievable blue colored water, and some decent waves. We enjoyed our stay but were taken aback by all the trash in the water and on the beach itself. Boards with nails, plastics, cans, it was gross!!! We got there at the start of the low season so we weren't sure if they... More

Beach itself is nice but not that different than the main beach near the pier. You can longtail or walk. We chose to walk. Not particularly difficult (doable in sandals) but takes about 30 mins each way. Not a must see.

The beach is like paradise. Clear water to paddle in and blue green waters to stare at. The sand though is full of air pockets so can be hard to walk in and at times you feel it pull away from beneath your feet in the water. Little crabs the colour of sand scarper beneath your feet. Beautiful sunsets to... More

What a amazing beach, long and beautiful. Amazing sunsets. Lots of relaxed beach bars and restaurants dotted along. Don't come here if you want loud music and to party all night. Water lovely and clear, beach clean, some trees for shade. Had a feeling of Thailand 20 years ago. Busy high street behind it, with bars, restaurants, shops etc. Bit... More

Many beaches in Thailand have sharp rocks under the water but I didn't encounter any here. The beach is long and has a shallow incline so you can take long walks on land or far into the water. The waves look somewhat large but are actually very gentle with no undertows. There are good pubs and restaurants along the beach.... More
