I planned my entire trip around visiting Koh Tao & Koh Nang Yuan on my birthday. Unfortunately, with my fear of heights, I didn't make it up the top to see the view, but my mom captured a beautiful pic. We did our excursion with Travstore Tours. The staff were incredibly friendly and especially helpful in keeping us light hearted... More

If you're in Koh Tao for the first time you may gaze across the water like many before you and think, "gee, that island looks like a great place to go." Take my advice; don't bother. Koh Nang Yuan is stuffed with tourists from all over the place--mostly direct from Koh Samui it seemed--and while the snorkeling is ok there... More

I've been there a couple of days ago. It's a really nice island and also very clean. Unfortunately there are to many tourist on my opinion. I would raise the price (now it's 100 Baht for the entry) for the entry so it won't be that crowded. And you also have to go to the viewpoint. It's worth it!

Twenty years ago this was one of the most stunning snorkelling sites in the world. Now it is a graveyard of broken coral. The island itself is still lovely, but it is only open to visitors from 10-5 and during that time it is PACKED. Very sad. It's shocking how quickly we can turn paradise into hell.

There is a 200 baht fee to walk onto the island the food is bad and over priced the island it's self would be spectacular if it wasn't so packed there's a lot of diving training going on there too god knows why

Although crowded at times, it's a very beautiful beach and a good place to spend a few hours. The crowds thinned out later in the day but the island closes at 5 pm, so don't go too late. Also good snorkeling especially on the side of the beach towards Koh Tao.

The best day trip ever with the most amazing views. No water bottles to be taken in to the island but you can purchase water at a cafe there. Wear decent footwear!!

First of all depends on season and weather conditions. In good season it's very nice in both: above and under water. My advice: if you in normal condition and like to - go by yourself, solo or with friend/girlfriend by rented sea-kayak. Otherwise you can rent water-taxi or buy a tour. But another one advice: better to go there not... More
