Friendly place

The night that I went with friends the bar was quiet, but the owner "Steve" was good to chat with, he knows everyone it seems. Nice place for a few drinks at fair prices.

If you like a quiet drink to watch the sun go down across the Mekong then pop into The Manchester Arms and say hello to Steve - mine host here. A great mix of Farangs of all nationalities .Very friendly and easy to park.

Five of his ex-pat customers and their ladies now own the small bar which is situated far to the east along the promenade road (a hot 2 kilometer walk from my hotel trying to find it). It is now named... More

I returned again very recently and decided i would go back and check out my trusty old watering hole again. I found the manchester arms pretty much the same... More

A great little bar for a friendly drink. Steve, the owner is very welcoming, and the staff are attentive. The bar is in a nice location, right by the Mekong, with some wonderful sunset views. The bar is well cared for, and the prices are very reasonable. I always enjoy my visits here.

Steve gave us a very friendly welcome when my wife and I visited the Manchester Arms, and the first thing we noticed was how clean and nicely decorated the place was. Steve's Thai staff were also friendly and helpful and we didn't have to wait more than a minute or two for a refill. The setting is fantastic and we... More
