If you have been to the Kanchanaburi area you know these bridges. The memories have to be kept alive, but the bridge itself is not that spectacular

Pai Memorial Bridge located on the entrance of Highway 1095 from Chiang Mai. The simple bridge built during WWII by the cooperation between Thai and Japanese, therefore it can be considered similar to the famous 'Bridge over the River Kwai' in Kanchanaburi. However its condition...More

A memorial bridge for world war 2, was a lot longer than I expected. Nice to stand on and watch the river flow by. Very old now as it's missing a few boards in places!

There is anything much here. It is only a bridge with very very hot weather. You should bring umbrella with you.

I was excited by the hype this place has, just to be disappointed by the bridge itself. Sure it has rich historical value, but to someone who's not into history the bridge offers quite little. There was no entrance fee though, so it's all well.

Not terribly exciting but cool to walk across and read about. The wood needs to be replaced. Felt a little unsafe but that added to the adventure!

The bridge has a historic value, But it was not the original bridge though. There are some description at the end of the bridge and you can read it. The river view is pretty beautiful.

It's good to go there and see in early morning or not very late afternoon or cool day because there's no roof around there for a short stop if you're tired. Police are friendly and helpful.
