It was very beautiful! Maybe I wasn’t as blown away based on other temples I’ve been to around Thailand, but for pai, it is probably the best! Not very far, not a hike but a lot of stairs. Gorgeous view!! Would suggest that you go during sunrise or sunset if possible. Don’t think you’d need two hours but it’s a great place to pray or meditate

The white Buddha is visible from much of Pai. A peaceful place that is a work in progress on the lower grounds. Came here for the sunrise instead of the sunset so we practically had the place to ourselves. Looked like there was a small forest fire recently. A tranquil way to start the day. We had a scooter to get up here although I saw a few people walking. Once back in town, there’s a few street food stalls.

I booked a tour go around Pai and the tour guide took us here. The atmosphere around were really fresh and make me feel relax. The Buddha statue is very big that I can see from the ground. Go up to the top was worthy cause I can see the breath-taking view around. Just a short-time experience but really worthy.

Yes it's a climb but totally worth it. My 80 year old Mom did it no problem. Beautiful Buddha and awesome views.

We were there just at sunset and saw the monks. Very pretty. You can take the songtheuw truck up from town at 30 pp or, drive up. This drive is excellent practice if you want to scooter up to Pai!

Ok so the 300 steps for the view may not really be worth it. But there’s not much to do in Pai, so just take the hike! The view is great but the steps in the heat were killer. I would wait for the sunset! The view must be amazing. We had a free ride to take us all the way up mid day- so we jumped on the opportunity. Otherwise, I would have waited till it cooled down for sunset.

We went to See the white Buddha on the hill in Pai... on arrival on our motorbike we 1st thought we’d have to walk up an infinite staircase but realised we could drive almost to the top which was a relief!!
Paid 20 baht for a sarong which i should really have had remembered but thought for 50p your helping the locals so never mind.
So we climbed the white staircase to the top, the Buddha was beautiful and with the blue sky behind was pretty impressive.... we then started walking behind where we saw some legs poking out, thinking it was a fellow traveler taking a rest we wandered past to realise it was a local boy/man who had a disability lying on the floor only able to move his head with a piece of fabric next to him with money on!
It really upset me to think someone had purposely taken him there to gain money....
Thankfully trip advisor is around so we can tell these stories.
It’s a shame the views and the statue were pretty great from the top otherwise we’d advise people to not go up to stop this horrendous thing from happening.

It is worth the visit as it is very near to town. Riding up was simple and not ultra steep. Walking up the steps to reach the Buddha was also manageable. Great place for sunset but I went to visit without waiting for sunset as I don't have patience for such. Overall, its a good place to drop by for a 10 to 20mins.
