Small, but beautiful

My fiancee and I enjoyed visiting this small temple ruins. It was adjacent to our hotel, Legendha. The ruins, were the easiest to navigate, minimum steps, etc.

An impressive chedi, surrounded by elephants, which appear to carrying it on their backs. However, either the elements, or the weight of their workload, has had a detrimental effect on some of the elephants. It is however still an impressive site to visit.

If you're looking for extraordinary temple, then Wat Chang Lom is the perfect place to visit. Most of the elephants are in good condition because they got renovated by Fine Art Department of Thailand. I love the fact that this temple is surrounded with many tress.

Wat Chang Lom is a three tiered temple topped by a bell-shaped chedi. The first tier consists of a brick base with elephant statues surrounding the second tier which holds a gallery around alcoves containing Buddha images. The third tier supports the bell-shaped chedi at the top. From far, it appears as if the elephants are holding up the temple.... More

Randomly found this little gem will riding our bikes from the Big Buddha home. The first time I've seen elephants as a base to the structure.

We cycled pass it unexpectedly and stopped immediately because we never saw elephants on stupas?! It is sitting on its own, but very interesting indeed.

This is the only temple and ruins that I saw my entire time in Thailand, that had cement elephants surrounding the base, so with that, I felt pretty special about it! When I visited, I was the only person there, so I had the entire place to myself. It is very small in comparison to other places, but considering it... More

This wat was easy for us to visit because it was right behind our hotel. Still I would suggest a visit to this wat on your bike tour of sukhothai. There are two ruins here which were part of a larger building at one time.
