This place is good to stop by for few minutes when you are travelling around the Pangkor island (e.g.on motorbike). The fortress itself is not a real fortress anymore, just a preserved small ruin with nicely maintained surrounding. which is situated not directly at the coast (it is on the other side of the road). Despite that you can still... More

There was not much to see, but a small little fort. Wished there were more description board to tell us about the old stories of Pangkor. However, further down the road you could see a floating mosque which was really grand to look at. Didn't manage to pay a visit though as we thought it wouldn't be respectful to go... More

though the fort is small compare to A Famosa, but the authority has put in too much effort, it turn out to be a brand new red brick building.

The orginal fort was built in 1670 and sacked just 20 years later, but the dutch manage to rebuild the fort in 1743 but abonded it after just five years. Until 1973 the old fort was swallowed by the jungle but it's now reconstructed as far as remaining bricks allowed. It's still worth a visit.

Ten minutes is probably all you will need too visit this site. A small fort which has historical information plaques to read. There is not too much to see but ok if you pull in a trip to Pangkor town.

There was only vestige of fortress, however, detailed introduction could make visitors understand the related history.
