If you are around Sandaka, it's a must-do temple. Magnificent, full of colours, young people practice on tambourine, atmosphere, everything is beautiful

Tranquil and peaceful. A great place to just escape too and chill. Perched high over Sandakan we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Temple location at the hilltop of Sandakan bay. Peaceful place and nice view of the Sandakan town from the temple. Interesting old wooden house along the way up the temple too.

This is probably the best viewpoint in Sandakan. Inside the temple, there are some impressive statues and pillar decorations.

This Temple located on a Hill that commands a good view of the Tanah Merah part - along Jalan Leila - of the other side of the Sandakan town.

This is a very colourful temple with spectacular views down to the port, the ocean and back towards the centre of KK. There is a second temple next door and a third under construction all of which are very large. No surprise I guess when the Chinese Malaysians are the second largest ethnic group in the country.

Some nice bronzes around the temple and extremely colourful carvings and buddhas inside. Worth a visit for the view alone.

We visited the temple as part of our Borneo Tour, and the colours and carvings are amazing. Unusual to be able to visit and take photos, so it must have been built specifically with tourists in mind.
