The last trip I came to this place many years back, I cant really remember what year. So month of May 2021 before government announced FMCO, I brought my nephews and friends visit this place again to let them see how is this place look like and what animals they can see other than crocs.

Through my observation during our visit, nothing much new and change except the bridge has been repaired for safety reason, certainly. For that I would say well done to the management.

However, in order to encourage more visitors to come, I would love to suggest to add more animals to make it the place more exciting and interesting especially to attract children interest to discover and learn about wildlife animals.

Of course I would come again to support our local tourism industry specifically in Sandakan.

never been to a place more cruel to animals. this is a crocodile farm that keeps animals in awful, unsafe conditions, none of the animals are well cared for. the whole place has a stench as it is so unkept. looking into the eyes of all the different types of animals here broke my heart. they're such beautiful innocent creatures that are meant to be in the wild doing what is natural to them NOT stuck in concrete enclosures. the otters were so skinny and looked desperate for food when we walked past them. it is clear that the owners of this disgraceful institution do not care at all about the animals in their control and they only care about money.
PLEASE DONT SUPPORT THIS PLACE GO AND SEE CROCS IN THE WILD this is not how they should ever live.
sorry for the rant i need people to know.

What a cruel and vile place.
Animal cruelty at it's worst.
We were all mortified at the stench, filth and tiny enclosures

We were greeted by the sight of poorly cared for crocs.
Dirty waters, cramped enclosures, injured and bleeding crocs, a very sick ostrich.
The croc feeding session was a waste too. Little bits of chicken was thrown in to the waters, or to specific crocs. Hardly a show to begin with.
You may feed the various types of fishes with pallets that cost you RM1 per packet.
There are cute and pretty bunnies that you can hold and play with. And hold a baby croc (mouth taped)

We saw huge numbers of beautiful crocodiles packed together into tiny concrete spaces with little or no water, seemingly panting from the heat with no shade for sanctuary, many of them having broken tails. We witnessed the staff beating one crocodile mercilessly with an enormous stick until it started bleeding when trying to flee the attack. To think these magnificent animals have endured this day after day for years (one of the crocodiles was over 60 years old).

There were countless animals being mistreated: an ostrich so malnourished half its feathers were missing and the exposed skin was red and raw; otters squealing and clearly stressed out; massive fish with no room to turn; a peacock with broken feather tips as the cage was too small for it to fully fan his beautiful tail.

I was in absolute tears and astounded that it is even legal to keep animals in such cruel conditions. My heart was broken wide open by the torture we witnessed and I’m feeling rather helpless that we humans can be so cruel to other living beings and not see the chronic pain being caused by our actions. I will never forget the suffering I saw in those animals eyes, absolutely heartbreaking.

This is the worst zoo/animal establishment I've ever had the opportunity to visit in the course of all my travels over the last several years.

Such magnificent creatures were kept in the most abismall of conditions. It was obvious that many of the crocodiles had broken limbs/tailes and fresh injuries. Some of them barely had room to move within their pens. Conditions were akin to a Hollywood-depicted Turkish prison. Many of the other animals looked ill and malnurished.

The employees appeared to have no concern or recognition for the poor conditions in which many of the animals were kept. By the simplistic look on most of their faces, I'd be suprised if any of the employees were even capable of feeling basic human emotion.

This place should be closed on animal welfare grounds, with the animals relocated to better and more suitable environments.

Disgusted!

It definitely had many many many crocodiles! Kids were amazed. It seemed to be safe enough. However they had stated that there will be feeding every hour and we did not see any feeding. When asked, they ignored us. The people at the ticket counter are very rude. Their cat was chasing us and climbing on us and when we told them about it, their response in a loud manner was to feed it as it was hungry. We cannot help but wonder whether they feed any of the animals there like they should.

I am not an extremist greenpeace fanatic but seeing the otters was simply heartbreaking. They were clearly starved, as I neared their cage they ran up to me, started squeaking and jumped onto the fence. Never seen otters behave in such a desperate and frustrated way. Crocs were a big experience to see.

I thought to see a few crocodiles like 10, but it were between 50-100!
It's inappropriate for those species. Living on cement cages, some without any water in it. Others with 20 crocodiles in a cement pool. Some of them are disabled, may because of biting each other, but looks more because of the conditions.
Also the small animals, birds who have no room to fly, 20 rabbits in a small cage.
I know that in SEA the people have another understanding of animals than people from Europe, but for me it was not worth it.
For people who don't care about that it may be a nice visit, but my heart was crying.
