Mar 2020
Surprised and happy to note that we are able to stroll and enjoy our evening walk. Places are now clean, bright lights and organised.

Good place to jog n walk
Jan 2019 • Solo
A good spot for a simple jog or walk in the morning or evening. Surrounded by shady trees, flowers as well as some fruit trees (though we can't really 'see' the fruits 🤭). There are fish ponds too but can be smelly at times. The corners & sections of the park represent different races in Miri.

A Stroll in the City Fan
Mar 2019
I was waiting for friends here in the hot evening. It is the dry season in Northern Sarawak and Miri has been exceptionally hot for a few weeks. The steams are drying up every where. Bush fires continue to occur around the city. The City Fan is a little "dried up". If only the sea breeze will blow. Too hot and the trees are not giving enough shade.

Miri city fun
Oct 2018 • Family
Recommended to visit in absence of anything else to visit. Can be entertainment but boring in the same way. Good for family experience before dinner or lunch....

Nice park with nice views
Nov 2018 • Family
A very interesting park at the middle of Miri town center. Quite popular with the local here during the evening time. There’s a place where kids can feed the fish. Good place for a evening walk with young kids. Would be nice if the water fountains were to be turn on.

Park in a fan shape
Jul 2018 • Family
Miri City Fan was named as such because the whole park looks like a fan from above. This park is located in the centre of the city and connects Miri Civic Centre-cum-Public Library, public swimming pool and Pustaka Miri (ie. IT Library) with a amphitheatre in the middle. The park consists of Chinese, Islamic and botanical gardens that showcased the the art, carvings and cultures of largest ethnic groups (by population) in Miri. This park is a great place to spend your time after dinner, or have your morning/evening jog. Sadly, the musical fountain situated at the promenade that leads to the civic centre isn't working anymore.

Free attraction
Aug 2018 • Family
Not the greatest of attractions but it's free and open all day and since Miri doesn't have many attractions, you can go there for some quick pictures and exercise.

Weekend Outing
Feb 2018 • Family
When you need a place to let the kids loose to run and burn all that excess energy, this is the place to go. Wide space with a garden and plenty of space to jog and a centre stage where every weekend they have free Zumba sessions for the public. It’s considerably clean and has what would pass as security guards. Nothing on wheels e.g. bicycle, rollerblades etc. and had a bad experience of an extremely RUDE guard. Would have given full marks if not for the restrictions.
