This place is not crowded with tourists like some beaches. This might be due to its location is not near the main state road. Still if you are here you will definitely enjoy the charming surrounding. The beach is popular with surfers and locals. The batu penunjuk or the pointing stone is a must for fishing especially grouper. You could enjoy local delicacies at food court nearby.

The beach was right on the doorstep of our B&B so it has pretty handy to wake up in the morning and had a stroll along the stretch of the beach. Ambience was very calming, though the currents should not be under estimated. Just around the corner of the beach, there were various foodstalls catering to local cuisine. Qualiy and taste were pretty average.

This beach is unique one with one single stoneon the beach. The sand is good. The only drawbacks is no coffee shop to hang around

Good vibe in the sense that this beach has less crowds and offering decent view. If you want to chill 1-2 hours it is recommended. Camping is good also.

Pantai Penunjuk is a stretch of beach about 2.5km long. The northern part of the beach has a resort (Al Safina Beach Resort & Restaurant). The middle part of the beach is a fisherman's village. And the southern part of the beach is for swimming, beach activities and picnicking. There are also quite a number of foodstalls for snacks and beverages at the southern part of the beach.

Ofcourse you cant compare this beach to the island beaches like Tioman or Redang. But as a beach on the mainland, it is a lovely beach. It is not over crowded as I think it is not well known. It is mainly the locals who frequent this beach.

If you are looking for a beach which has a lot of activities, this is not the beach for you. This beach is for those who want some peace and quiet, enjoy the breeze, and just laze on the beach.

There are clean public toilets. No proper restaurants other than Al Safina. And no shops.

We also did a spot of scuba diving around the rocks at the Southern part of the beach, with a dive operator who are based in Kuantan.

This is definitely not the kind of beach for people to sunbathe on. There are many curious local eyes around giving a sense that you're being watched. Worst of all, there is too much garbage overwhelming the beach! Perhaps some can argue that the tides brought in the garbage but I believe most of it is generated by the nearby fishing village. You can also smell the fishy stench on the beach as the nearby fishing village actually is a producer of dried anchovies. This beach is perfect for those who would like a stroll in a "kampung" village setting.

Did a slow drive thru' the full length of the beach. Fabulous place for a picnic & swim ( caution: signs in Bahasa say no swimming in this area) . No life guards , I suppose that's the reason for the sign. The light surf & clean beach is just too appealing to miss a dip in the ocean . There was a B&B place BUT unfortunately it went out of business . The beach is equaling as good as where I stayed , at the World Resort Kijal .

We found the beach by coincident. The beach is packed with local people none with tourist except us. We like to see the big rocks as the formation is unique. This place is not for swim as the wave is quite savage. Overall its very good place to visit. Recommended.
