Had an amazing experience at Matahari Divers. My partner and I went there to do our PADI Open Water Diver Course there over 5D4N. The crew there is super friendly and helpful. They adjusted their course to fit our schedule better. Special thanks to our Instructor, Nicole, who made the whole experience fun and enjoyable. She was patient and encouraging and helped us at all stages. Some quick advice: - Bring your own sunblock. It is super expensive on the island. - Bring your own mosquito repellant. It is super expensive on the island. I brought mosquito coils. - Bring your own aloe vera. It is super expensive on the island. - Bring your own alcohol. 😂 It is super expensive on the island. The chalets are clean enough. Do bring your own soap as those are not provided. If you are taking any courses, suggest getting them to send you the video/materials ahead of your trip. That way you are able to prepare slightly before your trip. the PADI OWD Course has 5 sections/videos which ranges from 30mins to 60min videos. So it does take some time to complete those videos. If you want to fully maximize your time on the island. It would be better if you watch the videos before your trip. Overall it was an ⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐AWESOME EXPERIENCE! 👊👈🤙 Definitely would recommend.

Never thought I would enjoy scuba diving until I got my PADI license via Matahari Divers! the crew, the instructors Aslam, Nicole, Suzy, Sarah, Awis and not to forget the big boss Abang Jeng were simply THE BEST! Clear directions coupled with fun learning instructions given had made the experience simply amazing! will definitely return for fun dives and most probably will take the Advanced course with them too :) Hands down, thank you Matahari Divers!

Strategically located on the beach of the most popular site in Perhentian Island. Close to accommodations and eateries. Fun, energetic, helpful and polite staffs. Reasonably priced. Free flow coffee and tea at the pantry. Clean and tidy.

Hi Not a usual writer, but this is worthy to share I did open water and advanced open water with Mata Hari divers this summer. I can only be thankful to the full team, starting from owner Jeng, to dive instructors to boat captains and all crew. I found a group of people with passion for diving, with passion for teaching and with infinite patience. If you add family vibe, happy and fun environment, with the good gear, it is not difficult to fall in love with diving and Mata Hari crew. My gratitude to Aslam, fantastic teacher, Nicole, amazing teacher and Suzie for the dives. My gratitude to Jeng for making the things easy. I went to Mata as per a colleague referral, and was totally worth it Happy diving Juan

I keep coming back to this place after nearly 7 years! Did my PADI advanced open water certification back in May 2018 and it was such a good decision since the Dive Instructor taught me the skills that still stick with me today. In July 2020 my girlfriend immediately signed up for an open water diver course after the discover scuba dive experience with such a great DI. All the DIs, DMs, boat captains and boss here are patient, friendly and passionate about diving. They are professional, knowledgable, always point out the fascinating variety of fish in each dive and most importantly they make sure our dives are fun and safe. Highly recommend dives with this crew.
