We were a group of 6 friends staying in Perhentian Kecil for 4 nights. We chose this place due to its good reviews and it did not disappoint!
The location is perfect. You have one of the best spots on long beach. The team running the place are super helpful and always making you feel welcome. The only point to improve are the toilets.
As for the diving, they are very professional about everything and the equipment provided is in good shape. They have good prices and knowledgable guides.
Overall, I think this is one of the best spots in Perhentian Kecil, both for scuba diving and for accommodation.

We were 4 of us and booked a scuba dive with them on 29th June 2019 in the afternoon. The 'Master' had charged us for a discovery 'dive', however there was no dive and we were made to walk on the sea shore till we reached 2 meters depth in unclear water, we saw absolutely no marine life and the worst part is that the Trainer justified 'no dive' by saying that we did not learn properly even though he cut short the training because of his paucity of time. Basically they will take money from you, promise a dive and then bring you back without one after ripping you off. It was snorkeling with scuba gear at the price of SCUBA. Terrible way o dealing with fresh learners.

The hostel is located in a perfect place (long beach), the staff were very friendly and helpful, the scuba diving was so cool. It's gonna be too long to tell the whole story, but in general, my friends and I had one of the best holidays here.

The hostel in a perfect location with long beach right in front and a bar shack that opens up at night for those who want a drink by the beach. Fire performers are entertaining and amazig to watch. The hostel is clean enough to sleep in, though there was no electricity till 7pm which you wouldn't mind because theres so much to do on the island anyway. Staff was very friendly especially our lovely host Mira who would go out of her way to ensure everyone is having a great time. Overall a wonderful experience, great views, chill vibes.

Friendly staff - will be back to go diving in the spring, was no problem to cancel a room on the day of check-in. Fire dancers on the beach were cool. There is a bar selling tiger(beer) and a selection of cocktails just outside.

We went there in March, when the season just started. We went with a group of 12 people, 2 open water students and 3 advance open water student while the remaining are fun divers. When we arrived we got to know that our room wasn't ready yet, which is fine because we were there by 12 noon and check in was supposed to be at 2pm. We waited, and was trying to understand if there is any arrangement for the students and the fun divers to proceed with our diving activities first. Then only we find out that even the diving schedule is not up! The room arrangement was not ready even though we have communicated on the arrangement prior to the trip. Hence, they are telling us that they don't have enough tanks the room can only be ready by 3pm and what not. On the day that we were supposed to dive, we were asked to walk to the other side of Perhentian Kecil to take our boat ride to our dive site only to know that there is only 1 guide to guide 3 advanced student whom is on course and 7 other divers. And due to the visibility and water condition we were asked to abort our dive at the 18th minutes! We're still fine with that. Coming to the room, as we almost occupied the whole upper floor, we could say that the twin room is nice and quite comfortable. The dormitory on the upper floor is quite stuffy, but still manageable. They have about 12 hours electricity. Location wise, since they are located at the Long Beach provision, it is easy to get your necessities and entertainment. But our overall experience is affected by the way they manage us during our stays there.

We originally booked three nights here, but we ended up with a week. The location is perfect - the hostel has a frontview to the ocean. The Open Water Diver Course was a fantastic experience. You’ll love the people that both work and live there. We loved it.

First of all, this was my first time at the guesthouse,
We was arrived on Thursday 19th, and had booked my stay on Booking.com, on top from that I been asked to pay another extra charges for RM20.00, this totally ripped off, sound like one.
Soonest we arrived in our tiny room, room wasn’t clean, dusted everywhere!!!!
Surprisingly, I paid for RM300.00 for 3 nights, we didn’t get towel, blanket neither!!
Anyway, staff was friendly and helpful especially Ana & Nadia . I’m sorry to say the room needed for better improvement and cleanliness for sure.

We were there for some fun dives and some of us are taking the Open Water Course. It was okay at first as we had fun doing fun dives around the island. However one of the instructor/divermaster’s attention was more at looking at us girls, instead of being professional and focus at the diving sessions. It felt very uncomfortable for us. The rest of the team was okay and are very helpful and friendly. If you dont have any choice and have to go with this diving centre, just beware of one of the instructor - especially for young women. We decided to end of stay at Seahorse and proceed to Matahari Divers instead who treat us better and are more professional.

Went for a diving trip last weekend with Seahorse Diver. It's located at long beach which is very convenient. Many restaurants nearby. Night time can enjoy fire show with beer at the beach bar nearby.
I stayed 2nights at their twin sharing seaview room. It's a cozy place to stay and got to enjoy sunrise view from the room.
Crews are all very friendly and helpful.
Will definitely go back again to dive with them.

Snorkerling is not our incharge but so far we know that normally it would start at 10.30- 3p.m for long trip.. But for the short trip might be start a little bit late

Hi, I am an opera singer and my breathing consumes a lot of air because of that, I think. In previous dives I had to wear 15 litre air tanks because otherwise the dive is cut short because of me. Do you provide 15 litre air tanks? Thank you

They will provide an extra tank and a buddy dive master that will aloow you to go for a second dive in the same trip without affecting the group. Just let them in advance okay.
