Freedive AndRasa is a fantastic school for freedivers - whether you are a beginner or very experienced. Their course material is well organised and easy to understand. They also give much pre- and post- course material. Their main trainer, Howie Lee, seems to have been born a fish. His comfort on the seas gives his students supreme confidence. Also, he is smart at assessing the various students' levels and abilities. As such, he is able to tailor different approaches to different individual challenges. Great job, guys

Hey there, wondering if Freedive AndRasa is a good place to learn freediving? Please continue reading...
A little background on my situation. Im 25 years old (2020) I didn't know how to swim, had literally zero confidence in water but had an interest in freediving.
Kinda weird right? But Freedive AndRasa made it all possible. Thanks to their friendly, patient and wonderful instructors.
I found out about them while searching online for a Molchanov course in Malaysia. Contacted them regarding the course, pretty fast reply and clear. All prices and packages were sent to me via email.
Due to their fast reply and professionalism, i knew they were the right choice for me to pursue my molchanov freediving course. I took wave 1 with the survival swimming course.
Went to tioman island to learn swimming with SSI swim instructor Calvin. Learned to swim within few hours and gained confidence in open water pretty fast.
Then after swimming lesson, we went straight to learn freediving with instructor Howie. Managed to freedive up to 12m within 2 days.
Currently, i am a certified molchanov wave 1 freediver and passionate about freediving. I love the pool and sea. (Imagine from not being able to swim and scared to loving it and constantly freediving in the pool and sea)
In summary, the instructors were great, understanding, patient and good at explaining complex topic using simple words. I highly recommend u guys to take up freediving course with them. End result, u will be a great freediver equipped with knowledge and experience.
Ps: u will be making a lot of freediver friends since they have tons of students that still keep in contact with each other. Thus making it easy to find training buddies 😉

I took up the Rasa Package (swimming + freediving). Calvin (swimming instructor) and Howie (freediving instructor) were really encouraging, caring and helpful each step of the way. I was extremely nervous for the courses but they were so calm, relaxed, and encouraging that I got over it and had a lot of fun. They will never scold you if you could not manage to do something properly but instead they will guide you and continuously encourage you. Both of them were soft spoken and very nice. I really enjoyed my time with them.
I did not manage to complete my course because of sinus issues but I'll definitely go back to complete it. One thing that Howie said to me that I'll always remember "You have the rest of your life to dive, so it's not worthwhile to keep on pushing and injure yourself".
If you're looking for someone to just certify you despite not having sufficient skills or able to complete the course, AndRasa is not the place for you. BUT, if you want to learn how to freedive properly and safely, with a great and encouraging instructor, then you should take up Wave 1 with AndRasa!
I just came back and I'm already looking forward to go back to complete my course. It was so much fun!

Thanks Howie and Calvin for our first freediving Level1 at Perhentian Island. You are professional, compassionate and so kind. I cannot believe that I can dive to a depth which exceed my expectation in my first time without fear and feel very comfortable and challenging myself.Thanks a lot to both of you

I had no prior experience in scuba or freediving, but decided to enroll in the Wave 1 Molchanovs Freediving course with Andrasa. The course started with survival swimming skills from Calvin first, he was so patient, informative and made me feel at ease. I learnt so many new skills from him although I have been swimming my whole life! The freediving instructor Howie is an impeccable instructor, he is patient, understanding, and clear with his constructive feedbacks to ensure that we are able to truly enjoy freediving in a safe manner. He teaches not only the theory and practical, but he'll also pass on to you his passion for freediving and the magical aquatic world. Overall, it was a stress-free, fun and relaxing experience, thanks to Howie and Calvin. They definitely helped me to feel more confident, informed and relaxed while under water. I truly enjoyed the course and I am now a Certified Wave 1 Freediver, could never have imagined that I can achieve this!

I've never experienced free diving before. I love the way Howie, the instructor, taught us. He was a clam and kind teacher who paid attention to every detail. He also encouraged us to not compete against one another but ourselves. I was very much impressed and enjoy my diving journey at Perhentian islands, Malaysia :)

Scuba divers look outside, freedivers look inside... a Path to Healing, Health, and Happiness with my instructor... The moment with no fear and but warm 💙🧡 Howie is an amazing instructor. He is a knowledgeable, caring and very patient instructor.
Throughout the course you would learn a lot about yourself and how your body reacts to the challenge of diving underwater in one breath. Learn to calm your body and respect your body. I love every training session and also after training session with AndRasa. I would definitely be back for more diving training with AndRasa.

Howie was very patience and attentive towards his students. He tailored his teaching based on the student's level and gave good tips and action plan to better your technique. I thoroughly enjoyed myself despite not being abled to complete my certification. This course is not only about free diving but also about understanding yourself better.

Andrasa Studio isn't just a place but it's the people and the feeling.
I spent the time here for 4 days. They encouraged me to overcame the fear in my mind. It's my first time to learn how to swim and floating for safty in the sea not just in the pool. Thank you my teacher, Calvin that made me feel safe, relax and calm. For now I'm not do it well but I'll try my best to improve myself. I remember every words that you said I'll not stop to learning more because I have a goal already and I hope someday I can free diving and see both of you under the sea in somewhere. Remember that more than the new experience it's a good and beautiful friendship.

It was my first open water dive experience and I am happy to have engaged AndRasa. Pre- training materials were provided for us to practise before attending the diving sessions. Howie was the instructor for the 3 die sessions I have attended. He is very patient and detailed in providing instructions on the correct free diving techniques. As I was late for the theory lessons for the 1st day, he stayed replace the session I have missed.
