It was my first travel in two years since Covid and I am glad my husband had made a good choice in choosing Angel Diver for our 5-day trip to the Perhentian Island.
We are travelling with a group of friends, who took the open water course with Instructor Dailos. The group was a bit anxious at first as some of them were not very good at swimming but Dailos definitely did a good job and taught them all the skills and techniques while maintaining the good fun!
My husband and I did fun dives with Dailos, Ana and Ylenie who were all very experienced instructors and knew the dive sites very well. The dive requirements were well mantained and the dive shop was well organised.
I would highly recommend Angel Diver to anyone who wants to explore the underwater world.
**However**, since we were travelling during the end of Ramadan and the start of Hari Raya and the island is mainly operated by local Malay, most of the restaurants were closed in the morning, so no breakfasts were served. Eventually, when the restaurants were opened, they were overloaded with orders ( at one dinner it took us 3 hours to have our food on the table since we placed the order). So you might want to check with the local traditions and bring some foods yourself just in case.

I did several fun dives with James, a very experienced instructor who knows the dive sites very well.
Prices are more than fair and most packages include food etc. I would definitely go with Angel Diver again.

I completed my Open Water dive course with another school on the Island & signed up to go with Angel Diver - because they offered the best package deal - with the best accommodation & also threw in a free tee-shirt (also, my instructor from the other school was HORRIBLE!) The atmosphere was fun & very professional & they took us to the best dive sites on the Island! My instructor was awesome!

I stayed 3 nights/4 days with 4 fun dives, and the package also included 3 breakfasts and one lunch for a total of 400 MYR. I think it was a good price.
-Accomodation:
I stayed in the dorm, not the best dorm in my travel and the best bathroom but the bed was clean, the bathroom need a lot of improvement (moist, flush who doesn' walk correctly, door who couldn't close correclty). We didn't have mosquito net in the dorm. The aircon the other people liked it, me I was freezing during the night.
The price of a simple nights without the pachage it is 45/50 Myr and it is expensive for this prestation. But it is everywhere in the island, the cheapest accomodation have really poor quality.
The dive shop is good. Nice and friendly team, good equipment.
We never had water available who are normally included in the dive center.
But I had a good time and met really nice people there and finally you pass over that the accomodation is not the best.

This is my 5th time here. Did both my open water and advanced here. Great instructor, well maintained equipment and nice divemaster. Keep coming back almost every year to explore the dive sites and the only place u felt like treated as part of yr family.

Spent in August 2019 6 days on Perhentian and completed the open water PADI course at Angel Diver. Although start up was not really good organised (timing of our visit looked like suprise, Dutch CD was not working properly), our dive master (Nick) did a great job and thanks to him our vacation was great! Great personality, great teacher and a very pleasant person, even towards my teanage boys. (Maybe caused by his Dutch ancestors 😏). Thanks!

Awesome team . Good instructors .
Plenty of them and always limited max 4 per instructor.
Well maintained dive shop, equipments and boat.
One of the most affordable dive center !!! You cannot find it cheaper elsewhere.
Just beside Angel, it is where everything is happening at night.

The boss is a complete scammer and rude person. Promised full meals and we even had it written. When I told them I hadn’t received them because the staff was unaware and that I wanted to pay a fair price he said that it was never included (despite me showing the WhatsApp conversation). They also said 2N/3D for the discovery without mentioning that the actual diving is only one day, so no need to stay 2 nights. They crammed 3 of us in a bedroom for 2 saying it was an “upgrade”’from the dorm. They didn’t mention electricity only works at night and that during Ramadan there is no full service at the restaurant. When I told them that I wanted to pay a fair price, he said either I pay in full or I wouldn’t be able to leave the island in a very threatening and laughing manner. Would NEVER recommend that place to anyone.

Bonjour, je voudrais savoir exactement à quoi correspond la découverte de la plongée.
j'aimerai faire ma première plongée ici mais est ce qu'on reste juste au bord de la plage? ou une fois appris les bases on va un peu explorer ou voir un site de plongée?
