I arrived here before I did my hike to the windmills. I didn't stay in Kecil, so I only took a boat going here. The beach is amazing. However, the entire stretch is so overcrowded even in the day. I could only imagine how it would look like at night.
I think this part of the island will be popular to a certain type of crowd, but if you want somewhere more quiet and peaceful, you'd have other options like the those in the Besar island. I think this is only good for a night if you want to party, but that's about it.
Also, I notice that it's more expensive here in Kecil. I guess they really are targeting tourists.

One of the Most beautiful beach I’ve ever been.
The water is crystal blue. There are a lot of underwater activity. Almost every seafood restaurants are delicious. You can also visit islands by boat.

If you enjoy people watching and variety of dining options, Long Beach is the place to go. You can find everything from lower-end to the more premium meals—though they are mostly either of Malay, Thai, Western or seafood varieties. The vibrant beach environment is great and it especially bustles at night with party music. There are multiple fire shows at night happening in different places between 7.30-8.30pm on the northern part of the beach. But the main highlight is the one happening around 10pm or 11pm at Black Tip Beach Bar (check the exact time with the bar).

The beach is just awesome. Crystal-like water. It is shallow and friendly to the kids. A lot of cafes to choose from for your daily meals. A bit pricey but understandable.

May I suggest someone take care of the plastic bottles that people have a habit of leaving at the jetty , some of which will have blown into the pristine waters that people come to visit you for . Please help to maintain our wonderful environment. You can play a part by having bigger trash cans , signs to educate the ignorant or careless , otherwise in no time it will become a tourist tragedy like many resorts in Malaysia

I was here when the inter district travelling was allowed in Terengganu. Not many visitors yet since only few resorts were opened after long MCO.
The water was crystal clear and I can see the fishes around me even though the water is just at the waist level.
This place is also beautiful and breathtaking.

There are plenty of restaurants. All of them are very close to the edge of the beach. There is a nightly fire show, you won't miss it. The sea is greenish blue, a majestic sight during sunrise. We literally sat for 4 hours drinking coconut shake while enjoying the breeze and taking the the full warmth of the view.

Clean, clear and calm water. Nice place to chillax. Good place for scuba dive, snorkelling or kayaking.

How to reach long beach from Kl? Is this suitable for my 9 months old baby?
Cookielovestravellin

You need to get on a speedboat to reach long beach. As such a speedboat may not be suitable for 9 months baby. Try going for pulau tioman in johor instead as they use a ferry so it would be fine for baby.
Anyway, if speedboat is not an issue, with a baby hop on a domestic flight (airasia) to kota baru and take a cab from kota baru to the besut jetty to take the speedboat into longbeach. Some of the more budget chalets turns off their electricity during the day, so this will be uncomfortable for your child so do check ahead. Try googling for ombak resort, bubu or alunan for perhentian hotels
Why people love to go pulau perhentian?

Yes they have 24 hour water taxis, I'm not sure on the cost as I didn't catch any water taxis but it's not expensive (10-15rm)

What drinks do they offer here and how much is the price range? Do perhentian kecil/besar island have a duty-free shops?

No duty free shops that I saw, not exactly sure on drinks prices but must have been reasonable or I would have picked up on it.
