Having been to the nearby Redang island before, I have to say this beach is a little underwhelming as the cleanliness of the beach does not compare to Redang. My friends and I were caught in a riptide at the waters near the rocks at the end of the beach, so I do warn those traveling here to be extremely... More

This is the real deal. Definitely one of the best beaches I've ever been to! The color of the water is just spectacular and the sand is white and clean. Just like a screensaver. Remember to bring your snorkling set. A whole day is easily spent here.

These are what I do/have done at Perhentian Islands. Stay in cheap chalet or dorm, sunbathe and take a dip (actually, many dips) in the crystal clear water in the afternoon till evening, then wash up before tasting delicious local dishes for dinner. As night falls, join the little party by the beach, downing booze while enjoying company and performances... More

Well it's picturesque if you're looking out to the sea but turn around and the beach is littered with numerous dive shops and basic restaurants. We ate at Andys cafe and it was nice, then had drinks at bubu and didn't like them! The beach itself is mostly for backpackers..no serene solitude feeling here

Soft sand and beautiful, clear, blue water! Lots of restaurants nearby and you can rent kayaks or go on snorkeling trips. Very relaxing

This is by far the best beach I have ever been. I had such an amazing time there. Although if you prefer a more relaxing, private, and quiet scene, long beach might not be for you.

Fantastic long weekend spent scuba diving and relaxing with Turtle Bay Diving at this beautiful location. Just paradise, with warm friendly people only a 45 minute boat trip from the mainland but you could me hours away from the day-to-day. Will definitely be planning a future return.

we have visited Perhentian island in October right before closing. As most people know this island closes in the rainy season (October-march). We rented our room in the opposite side of the long beach. However the long beach has everything you want from good & cheap local restaurants to motels and activities. you can find all kind of activities you... More
