The dunes are spectacular. Don't short change yourself. Given the drive, we wished we had added extra days to our stay. It's just incredible to go in and wander around, marvelling at another incredible expression of Gods creativity.

Seriously, almost unreal. No matter how many times you've seen the desert, its awesome power and beauty never disappoints. The only thing that is annoying is the noise of the off-road vehicles, particularly when trying to enjoy a peaceful sunset. If you get high enough on the dunes, you can watch the sun rise over Algeria!

Must see in Morocco. This was the highlight of my trip to Morocco! It took two days to get there from Marrakech and we took a camel ride out to the desert. Spend one night under the crystal clear desert skies and you can see the stars. It is a sight to see and one you don't see enough living... More

Spend one night in a traditional Berber desert camp near the village of Merzouga and it was a unique experience. The sunrise in the desert is absolutely spectacular. Our host cooked a traditional dinner and we spent a nice evening in the light of candles. Make sure to bring both warm and light clothes, as, in the desert, it's very... More

Amazing experience on the edge of the Sahara. Moroccan magic. Absolutley stunning, no other way to describe it. The light in the night from moon and stars is spectacular! Try to sign up with a small group for desert overnight. You cannot go to Morocco and not visit the desert via Camel trek!!!

This a totally out of the world experience. You start your voyage by riding the camels into the heart of the sand dunes, where you can enjoy the wonderful sunset. Followed by a great meal enjoyed by the fire with playing of the Berber music. Do not forget to enjoy the lovely milky way of the stars followed by the... More

A MUST. A unique experience to be at the Merzouga Desert. Camel ride is another adventure, The magical landscape, quietness, serenity... I recommend the 3-days tour however please be ready that the trip will include long rides before you reach the dessert. There are many stops at various touristic spots and breaks for lunch and drinks. However, I found it... More

Sahara is not all sand duns, also rocky areas and black sand plateau. Check Google Earth, the area of Erg Chebbi is actually small. There is a single big dune right next to the town of Merzouga, but the biggest one is among the duns in the north, outside Hassilabied. More duns are in the north. Standard 1 night tour... More
