It was an hour's drive from Cahuachi to the Chauchilla cemetery, with the last 10 mins' drive being on dirt road. The mummies there are displayed in the open air, and if you keep your eyes peeled you can see several hands and feet with...More

I believe it's about 27 or so km from Nasca. To me Chauchilla + Nasca Lines + Palpa Lines supersedes Machu Picchu in terms of cultural significance. Very few people visit Chauchilla. I spent an hour or a little more there and I was the...More

Although all but destroyed by grave robbers in the not-too-distant past, thankfully there are enough remains and historic knowledge to make this a must-see, albeit somewhat sombre site. I predict that in a few short years, visitors won't be able to get so close to...More

This place is very cool!! It's crazy how you can pretty much walk on the trails they have marked and on both sides are bones and pieces of bones all over the place. It's hard to believe that a place like this even exists. When...More

Interesting place to visit. Very important as a source of archaeology to the Nazca culture. It has been plundered by grave robbers so you will see some left human bones and pottery scattered around the place. There is a two-hour tour and it will cost...More

Wow, this is a type of places one must absolutely go! It's amazing how local climate preserved the mumies. And strolling around you can notice bones and cloth pieces of mumies that still lay here unearthed. Spooky and inspiring at the same time.

Mummies in tombs and you can walk freely among them. We had an amazing guide telling us about the Nazca people and their lives. Ar least what is known. It was horrific to realise that they have used child offerings to bury the highly positioned...More

This site is highly underrated in my opinion. As many people, we only went to Nazca to take a flight over the lines. However, as we had a few more hours until our bus, we looked for other things to do in Nazca. We did...More

Because of the harsh climate in Nazca, the mummies are amazingly preserved and as a result it's like stepping back in time to when the pre-Incan's ruled the land. We had a tour guide who explained the history of the area and of the burial...More
