Great museum to visit in Ploiesti. It covers watches and clocks between 16th and 20th centuries and some interesting pieces that belonged to "celebrities" of those ages. Do not expect vast exhibition - there are about 8 rooms with watches and clocks so you can see everything in 1 hour easily.

Must see! Small and nice, recently refurbished. A nice garden completes very well the building and the exhibits.

Situated in the middle of Ploiesti, close to the center, the museum is unique in Romania and hosts great value pieces. A time spell that will delight you. It's something to be seen!

The museum contains a lot of exemplars that had been created at Swiss, French, German, English or American firms in the 19th and the 20th centuries. The clocks were set up in Paris, London or Liverpool and are also present in the collection. The collection contains also some funny clocks like: "the invisible clock", with transparent dial and a hidden-in-frame mechanism;... Clocks, watches, grandfather clocks - basically anything that keeps time. This is what you can see here. The entrance fee is very cheap and the staff is very welcoming.

Excelent and modern. IT could have more souvenirs and more stories connected with personalities from Ploiești. (Ex. ÎL Caragiale, Nichita, etc)

If you come to Ploiesti, it is a must to visit this museum because it is very well maintained and it's basically the only "bright" museum we have :)). The tour is short so you won't waste your time even if you do not like it, therefore i just suggest you to go! Romanian: Daca vizitati Ploiestiul mergeti si vedeti... More

Give it a whirl. Everyone should visit it at least once. It's a museum ,yet it's actually neatly decorated and is truly interesting. Locals will probably only visit it once, but that does not make it not worthy of generally visiting it. You will surely have something to learn out of the experience

It is the only museum of its kind in Eastern Europe, placed in a new renovated classical building and has a lot of wonderful pieces of clocks from all epochs. It's situated in Ploiesti, a town situated at one hour driving from Bucharest. In a special ambiance, I learned a lot of interesting informations from the museum nice staff.
