The most scared part of the Anuradhapura scared city complex. The tree is very old and believed to be a branch off the Bodhi tree in Bodh gaya where Buddha attained his enlightenment.

Well worth a visit once you have the tourist entry ticket to Anuradhapura. Beautiful sacred place. Be sure to dress conservatively or to take a shawl for shoulders and knees.
