Interesting for a short visit

A small well tended graveyard with Scottish and English graves. The man in charge may collar you and regale you with tales of each grave.

The very proud caretaker showed us around and told us about the graves, and the day that he showed Prince Charles around. His grandfather was a scotsman, and he refered to the UK as the motherland. Very interesting, worth a visit after the Temple of the tooth.

Quiet, fascinating reminder of the past with stories delivered eloquently by the old gardener about the "inhabitants" in this grave yard. Hardly anyone made it past the age of 30 - find out why - truly absorbing information of a by-gone era.

Really interesting place! A lovely gentleman who was the caretaker showed us around. He knew every grave and the history with it. Really made you see how hard life was for the English settlers at that time. Don't miss a look when you go to the Temple of the tooth.

The custodian of the cemetery gave us a comprehensive tour of the interesting British colonial graves, and spoke excellent English.

This is a hidden gem, in large part due to the caretaker, Charles. He speaks excellent English and knows the history of each grave. Absolutely amazing to,listen to him bring history alive. He clearly loves the place and takes great pride in keeping it up. I wish we'd had more time!

We stubbled on this place and the wonderful caretaker after visiting the temple of the tooth, and what a find. The caretaker took such time and care with us, he spoke great English and explained the history of the cemetery and gave us a leaflet. In the afternoon sun it really was special. Thank you!!

You cannot really appreciate this place with the local guide. I do not know his name but an extremely well spoken guide/curator seems to hang around the cemetery as you go in, believe me that his stories about what happened to ,any of the people living there are fantastic. I was flabbergasted with the clarity and detail of the stories,... More
