There is a lot of history in Kandy and part of that is the dance tradition. In this show you will see lots of different dances in a big auditorium. We were on the second floor and could see fairly well. The show lasts an...More

excellent well rehearsed show, some good acrobatics but drums really were too much, the start was a bit boring but was patient and eventually it got better, but many people started to leave before it was over

The dances are impressing but the drums are to overwhelming and sitting in the first row I had to close my ears. I was suffering from the loud drums. Do if you want to go sit in the back.

This passed an interesting hour. It is loud but you get to hear and see the national dances and music and they finish with hot coal walking

Very turistic event, set up in an hotel and for huge groups of people. The show and dance are typical and beautiful, even if very turistic.

Truly but first 10 minutes I was sleeping but after that they just hit the floor. What a fantastic dance performance. Good physical movement like back flip & head movement. Best way to interact with Lankan culture. It was fun. Ticket cost is 1000 LKR.

The title sums it up. You may not see much of the performance, given that the view of much of it is blocked out by people raising their phones up over their heads to take pictures. The guy in front of us didn't see any...More

5pm. But at that time it is a scramble to get good seating - no reserved seating exists. Reach about 15 to 30 minutes early. The duration is about an hour including a Fire dance which is outside the performance hall.

You buy tickets at the entrance of the Red Cross Hall where the performances are held. I would buy tickets early to get good seats. From the Temple of the Tooth, you walk along the lake away from the downtown/shopping/ area... More
