A great chance to escape the kandy chaos. Really peaceful walks in the shade. A chance to look out over kandy too which is a great photo opportunity. There is a fee for entry

Nice walk through forest/jungle. Managed to see a few monkeys close to the entrance, but apart from that there wasn't much else. Recommended if you have a few hours spare.

A real forest full of intact old & traditional trees. It is huge and you can spend up to 3 hours walking & climbing. A tour guide is needed not to get lost and to explain about some details inside the sanctuary. Nice museum inside.
