this was actually my last stop in Nantou. I already visited Sun Moon Lake, Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village (which has a family theme park). Since i have some time left, the Minsu lady boss recommended me to stop-by since there was actually a Bonsai Competition. Indeed, it showcase the heart and patience of the Bonsai growers/lovers! Anyway, the visitor centre... More

We chose to cycle to tour Sun Moon Lake and we stopped here for a rest. The view is great and you can see visitors bringing their dogs here for a run at the grass field. Stop over to enjoy~

Rent a bike to go to this place. Nice views on the bike way. This place itself is nice and a cafeteria is there in case you are hungry after cycling. Nice view of the sunmoon lake.

Interesting history of a bunker used during the Japanese invasion. Small gift shop and view of a lake

Visited here during our trip to Sun Moon Lake. The Visitor Center has some really interesting architecture and makes for some great fun if you want to take photos. There is a cafe and gift shop and also a bike rental and information centre so this is a good place to start your lake tour. The only reason I knocked... More

Good place to start the 3 km walk or ride to the Shuishe Visitor Centre. This is a better starting point as the Shuishe Visitor Centre area can be very crowded. There is not much to see here other than to take photos of the lake. The cafe has food and beverages you can buy to consume while overlooking the... More

Came here after a stay at Sun Moon Lake, so I focused more on the architecture than the information. Quite fascinating and modern, with some good lake views to be found as well.

Great location with wonderful view angle, however, someone should clean its artificial waterfront up. I loved its reflection in the water surface, if the water was cleaned.

Taking a break, this place offers a much flatter view of the sun moon lake. An uniquely shaped building surrounded by greens, there are many very well groomed Bonsai trees along with carved rocks. Very pleasant area for photos and a rest. Accessible by bike.
