If you go from Hualien to Cingjing, you can stop to do the trails along Hehuanshan. The weather though unpredictable, is generally better in the morning. We spent one afternoon walking in thick clouds and hardly saw a view, but the morning sunrise gave us a specatacular view of the valley. Our sunrise tour was booked with the guesthouse for... More

We heard so much about this mountain and made the trip by private taxi from the Taichung HSR Station. Glad I was not driving the tricky and narrow winding road. This explains why normal coach/buses cannot navigate up to the pass. The stops at Cingjing and Wuling along the way was an added bonus. We did not bother to go... More

We are keen walkers and love the mountains but we were unable to appreciate Hehuan because of two days of thick cloud (27 and 28 April 2017). Indeed we had constant torrential rain for over 24 hours. On both days we were out for 5.00am and there was no sign of a sunrise! In different weather conditions, we're sure we'd... More

Just around 30-minutes ride by coach from Cingjing Farm and you can completely walk into the wonder of Taiwan's wild nature.

Maybe you just like me, enjoy hiking and the nature. Sunrise always equals to hope! In early April, I went to Cingjing and enjoyed a stunning sunrise view at Hehuan Mountain. You can book the local tour through your hotel. They will pick you up at 3:00-4:00, then go up to the top. And you can see the stars, the... More

We went on a sunrise tour arranged by our accommodation (Ailiga Resort). It was a well-organised tour; they even provided us with wind-breaker jackets for the under-dressed (guilty!) and took us star-gazing en-route to the top, which takes about an hour. It was 4 degrees celsius up there, but it was worth braving the cold for the gorgeous, iridescent sky... More

We joined a local tour and left our BnB at 4:20am that morning. The driver drove us up to the top of the mountain for breaking dawn. On our way up, we stopped over for countless stars. We were able to witness the sunrise around 5:45am, the experience was amazing! On our way down the slope, we saw sea of... More

We book the sunrise bus tour for TWD400 per pax, you can book it thru your hotel. the bus picked us up directly from our hotel entrance at 3.55am. I would advice you to sit at the left seats, so that you can have a very good looks of the mountain landscape while coming down from hehuanshan peak. There's nothing... More
